Marco Bensen

For over 25 years I have been in management- and leadership positions in the international hotel- and leisure industry 
My career has led me internationally through several positions, including many years as General Manager and Area 
General Manager in many cities and countries. 
In addition to my professional activities, I have also served as chairman and board member of various associations and clubs and an academy. 
 
In addition to all these experiences, I have deepened my knowledge and skills with over several decades, by processing hundreds of books and countless reports on leadership and personal development. Also, I hold a master’s degree in hospitality management from the renowned University of Brighton. The topic of my thesis concerned of leadership.
 
My passion for leadership was inspired by countless personal encounters with leaders from all kinds of industries, fantastic personalities, sensational and not-so-sensational superiors, and an incredible number of wonderful employees and colleagues. Not only did excellent leadership serve as an inspiration and example, I also learned from a lack of 
leadership and poor interactions with employees by average managers. 
Motivation, productivity, effectiveness and the organizational and financial results, are fully dependent on the quality of leadership in the organization. 
 
I see my self as an ambassador for Leadership Excellence and I dedicate my support to ambitious (future) managers and leaders to avoid classic mistakes and to develop their full potential as a personality and as a leader.
 
My focus is always on the development, growth, motivation and support of individuals and teams.
